The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli, and the Director of King Faisal University, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, at the Ministry’s headquarters today witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at providing accredited training courses targeting 10 thousand livestock keepers in all regions of the Kingdom within the national plan to improve the productivity of the livestock sector to support the transformation from Traditional breeding to modern model breeding, and raising the productive efficiency of the livestock sector.

According to “SPA”, the memorandum was signed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of “Environment” for livestock, Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Batshan, and the Dean of the College of Agricultural and Food Sciences at King Faisal University, Dr. Ahmed bin Saud Al-Saqoufi.

According to the memorandum, the two parties will establish accredited training courses within the programs of the national plan to improve the productivity of the livestock sector, and include programs: health care, reproduction, livestock feeding, herd management, genetic improvement, and marketing) .Training targets male and female breeders, in addition to training 300 One of the technical cadres working in the livestock sector in the ministry, and according to the memorandum, the two parties will cooperate in organizing activities in the fields of education, training and joint research in the service of the livestock sector.
